    Terms of Service

    Company: Paperspace Digital LLC

    • Use of Service: You must have rights to content you upload. Prohibited content includes illegal, harmful, or copyrighted material you don't own.
    • Pricing: Pricing varies by writing type and length. Each type has its own per-word rate. Prices may change without notice. AI may lengthen or condense the writing based on its efforts to provide the most quality writing. Payments will be based on the requested number of pages and the AI normally delivers within 30%-25% of that requested length.
    • Deliverables: Two editable .docx files per purchase, typically emailed within 2 hours; if your order has not arrived within 24 hours, contact us and we will make it right or refund you. Your requested writing and character persona research. (The "Refine Writing" automation only provides the updated writing; without the Character Personas since this automation is a more extensive workflow meant for more complete works)
    • Refund (one-off purchases): One-off writing purchases are final once the writing has been generated and delivered. No refunds or revisions are provided on those orders. That is subject to two exceptions. The first is late delivery: if your order has not arrived within 24 hours, the Deliverables section above governs instead, and we will make it right or refund you. The second is your own consumer law. Where the consumer law of your state or country grants you a non-waivable refund or cancellation right, that law prevails.
    • Accounts: A free account is required to use the writing desk. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account. You must give a real email address, because it is how we verify the account and how you recover it. One person per account; do not share logins. We may suspend an account that is being used to abuse the service or to break these terms.
    • Your writing: The desk saves your work to your own computer first. If you are signed in, a copy is synced to your account so you can reach it from another device. Your writing is yours. We do not claim ownership of it, we do not publish it, and we do not use it to train AI models. Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
    • Subscriptions: Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Settings; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund part-used months, and where consumer law in your country gives you a right to a refund, that law takes precedence over this paragraph. Prices may change, and we will tell you before a change affects a renewal.
    • Included AI usage: Free accounts include a small monthly allowance of AI checks, which resets at the start of each calendar month (UTC). Paid plans include AI checks as described on the membership page. Allowances are per account and are not transferable or refundable for cash.
    • Deleting your account: You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing paperspacedigital@gmail.com from the account's address. Deletion permanently removes your login, the writing stored in your account, and your uploaded files. It cannot be undone. Cancel any active subscription first.
    • AI providers: To produce what you ask for, your content is sent to our AI providers — currently Anthropic and Groq — who process it on our instructions. We do not train AI models on your writing. Our providers are barred from training on it by the API terms we use them under; that is their contractual commitment, which we can hold them to but cannot verify inside their systems. We are working towards proprietary systems that will be controlled locally and will allow better control over the AI features used. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.
    • IP & Licenses: You own your outputs; you grant us a license to process uploads for story and poem generation, and to store and sync the writing you save to your account, solely to provide the service. All users are responsible for any IP violations, the legal implications, penalties, fines, and compensation.
    • Service availability: We aim to keep YouWrite available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and features may change. AI providers occasionally change or retire the models we use.

    No Warranty

    YouWrite, everything on this site, and everything the AI writes for you are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", with no warranty of any kind.

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

    We do not promise that AI output will be accurate, original, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose, and we do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, or secure. AI writing is a starting point you are expected to read, check and edit — not a finished product you can publish unread.

    Limitation of Liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid Paperspace Digital LLC in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) $100.

    We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost goodwill, or lost or corrupted data, even if we were told such damages were possible. Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.

    Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages, so parts of the two paragraphs above may not apply to you. In that case our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows.

    Disputes, Arbitration and Class Action Waiver

    Talk to us first. If something goes wrong, email paperspacedigital@gmail.com with a short description of the problem and what you would like us to do about it. Neither of us may start an arbitration or a lawsuit until 30 days after that informal notice is sent. Most things end here.

    If that does not settle it. Any dispute that is still unresolved after the informal period will be decided by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The arbitrator decides the dispute and may award the same individual relief a court could.

    CLASS ACTION AND JURY TRIAL WAIVER: DISPUTES ARE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY. YOU AND PAPERSPACE DIGITAL LLC EACH GIVE UP THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND THE RIGHT TO TAKE PART IN A CLASS ACTION, CLASS ARBITRATION, OR ANY OTHER REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. In plain words: you may not bring a class action against us, and we may not bring one against you. If this waiver is held unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim goes to court and the rest of this section still stands.

    You can opt out of arbitration. Email paperspacedigital@gmail.com with your account email and the words "arbitration opt-out" within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, and this whole section will not apply to you. Opting out costs you nothing and changes nothing else about your account.

    Two things stay out of arbitration. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies there. And either of us may ask a court for injunctive relief to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property or confidential information, without waiting for arbitration.

    Governing Law and Venue

    These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. For any dispute that is not subject to arbitration under the section above, you and Paperspace Digital LLC agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of Florida.

    Age Requirement

    You must be 13 or older to use YouWrite or to hold an account. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you must be 16 or older.

    We do not knowingly collect information from, or keep an account for, a child under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email paperspacedigital@gmail.com and we will delete it and the data attached to it.

    Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Paperspace Digital LLC and the people who work for it against any claim, loss, liability, or reasonable legal cost arising out of the content you submit or upload, the writing you publish or sell, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of anyone's intellectual property or other rights.

    Copyright Complaints (DMCA)

    We respond to notices of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Send DMCA notices to paperspacedigital@gmail.com.

    Sending a takedown notice

    A notice must include all of the following, or we may not be able to act on it:

    • your physical or electronic signature;
    • identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed;
    • identification of the material on YouWrite you want removed, with enough detail — a URL is best — for us to find it;
    • your name, address, telephone number and email address;
    • a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
    • a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for them.

    Counter-notice

    If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. It must include your signature, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief it was removed by mistake, your contact details, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district. Unless the complaining party files a court action, we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days.

    Repeat infringers

    We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of repeat infringers.

    Registration of a designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office is in progress. Until it completes, the email address above is the contact for copyright complaints and notices sent there are acted on the same way.

    General Terms

    • Severability: If any part of these Terms is held unenforceable, that part is limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest stays in force.
    • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Paperspace Digital LLC about the service, and replace anything said before.
    • Changes to These Terms: We may update these Terms. When we make a material change we will post the updated Terms here with a new date and, where we have your email address and the change affects you, tell you by email. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not, stop using the service and you may ask us to close your account.
    • No waiver: If we do not enforce a right straight away, that is not a waiver of it.

    Working to the Limits of AI

    AI-generated content is produced using advanced language models. While we strive to deliver high-quality writing that meets your specifications, please be aware of the following:

    • AI may interpret prompts differently than intended. Clear, detailed prompts yield better results.
    • Output quality depends on the specificity and clarity of your input.
    • AI-generated content may require editing and revision to match your exact vision.
    • The AI works within technological limitations and may not perfectly replicate specific author styles or complex narrative structures.
    • We recommend an iterative approach: start with shorter pieces, refine your prompts, then expand to longer works.
    • Final word counts may vary ±25% from requested lengths as the AI optimizes for quality and narrative flow.

    By using our service, you acknowledge these limitations and understand that results may vary based on prompt complexity and AI interpretation.
